Exploring various styles of yoga in the late 90s, it was his first Vinyasa class that made it clear that this dynamic style of yoga was home for J.; a challenging practice that develops the body, awakens the spirit, and calms the mind. On the heels of completing an Intermediate Bootcamp with Baron Baptiste, J. began studying closely with senior Baptiste Power Vinyasa teacher Lisa Black as an assistant. Their work together through numerous teacher and assistant trainings, in addition to successfully completing Baptiste Power Vinyasa Teacher Training levels 1 and 2, has given J. a deeper passion for, understanding of, and a stronger desire to share the light that yoga undeniably brings.
Through continuing education, J. has found additional inspiration for his practice and teaching in Saul David Raye of Thai Yoga Therapy in Santa Monica as well as the Jiva Mukti and Sonic Yoga community of teachers in New York.
For J. teaching is the manifestation of his wish to share the light. It is his sincere hope that infusing each class with light, love, and laughter will enable students to channel their strength and foster new growth as they follow their path on the mat and beyond.

Vinyasa, Hatha, Shadow, & Yin
Greg began practicing yoga in 2000 while working at the Pilchuck Glass School. Trained as a professional glassblower, yoga was initially useful as physical therapy, but soon Greg became wrapped up in the wonder and philosophy of the teachings and has never looked back. In 2003 he ventured to Kerela, India to study at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Neyer Dam. Practicing in the Indian tradition was a far cry from the studios of Seattle and infused Greg with a passion for getting to the heart of yoga. Upon returning he completed the 200-hour Teacher Training at 8 Limbs Yoga Centers in Seattle. Greg has completed a 200-hour training with his teacher Tias Little in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He also loves to practice Insight Yoga with Sarah Powers. These have been poetic and spiritual gifts that Greg is pleased to share with his students.
Greg's classes are unique experiences that draw from the full range of the yogic teachings and are infused with clarity and deep profundity. They encompass chanting, pranayama, visualisation, clear alignment, and meditation within the format of his cutting edge and playful sequencing. Come to class prepared to build on what you know and to try something new.

Baptiste-style power vinyasa flow
When Nicole started practicing yoga five years ago, she discovered her practice was the one place she could calm her mind and be present. She was soon drawn to the dance-like flow, hands-on teaching, and heat of Baptiste-style power vinyasa yoga and devoted herself to the practice.
Then yoga started to infiltrate all aspects of her life, as yoga tends to do. Nicole attended retreats and weekend trainings with master teachers Rusty Wells, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea, and Bryan Kest. She fell in love with chanting and singing at satsang and kirtan events. She wondered how to fit in more yoga and share its incredible gifts with others.
A weekend teacher training with Lisa Black and Peter Avolio at Shakti Vinyasa Yoga provided the answer. Nicole is a recent, glowing graduate of Baron Baptiste's Teacher Training Bootcamp Level 1, which confirmed her teaching path. She also is in Shakti's Teacher Mentorship Program, has completed the Teacher Assisting Program and plans to take the Baptiste Level 2 Teacher Training in 2010.
Nicole believes that a teacher's role is to empower students and grant them the space to grow physically and mentally. She promises to bring lightness, authenticity, freedom and love to her classes and help students be present, tap their inner yes, and find their own truth. Nicole is a writer by day, and in her spare time, when she isn't teaching or practicing yoga, she can be found doing one of these activities: hiking, skate skiing, cooking, trying new restaurants, playing violin, or checking out new music.

Baptiste Power Vinyasa
Sean came to yoga in a most unremarkable way: In 2004 a studio opened in his neighborhood and he walked in. There was no eureka! moment, no kundalini rising, no epiphany – just a gradual realization that the consistent practice of yoga was having a significant impact on his life away from the mat. He was physically stronger, emotionally more balanced and happier – so he kept practicing.
He came to Baptiste Power Vinyasa in early 2006, and was inspired to pursue teaching by his teachers and the power of the practice itself. He has studied with and been influenced by numerous teachers in the Seattle community and beyond, including Baron Baptiste, Eiric Ovrid, Lisa Black, Brian Kest and others.
Sean has completed Level I and Level II teacher trainings with Baron Baptiste, as well as a variety of advanced Teacher Assistant programs. He is currently (and forever?) making an effort to deepen his personal meditation practice. The intensity and richness of his Baptiste training and his ongoing practice have opened him up to new and powerful ways of being – both on the mat and in his daily life. It’s clear to him that sharing these gifts with others helps keep them alive within him.
Sean is also a professional writer, marketing consultant and voice actor with a huge appetite for design in all its disciplines.

Baptiste Power Vinyasa
After a series of knees injuries that kept Jessica from playing competitive soccer, she finally decided to give yoga a try after a hint from her knee doctor. Skeptical because she thought it wouldn't be rigorous enough, she quickly found yoga fed her exactly what she needed after years of pushing her body; healing, opening, restoration, and grace. She never looked back.
She tried her first Baptiste Power Yoga class in 2008 after receiving her 200-HR yoga certification in Costa Rica. Since then, she has been dedicated to the Baptiste practice while expanding her teaching experience from Shiva Rea, Sara Tompson-Beyer, Bryan Kest, and Lisa Black. She recently attended Baptiste Level 1 and has completed the Teacher Mentorship Program at Shakti Vinyasa Yoga.
Yoga is the first time and place that Jessica came to accept her body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is such a powerful life force, that she is dedicated to teaching yoga so others can experience the transformation. She is a different person because of yoga and encourages students to be open to the possibility of profound shifts through the practice. She teaches in a way that brings greater awareness to the body, a deepening and expanding of breath, and taking you to your edge.
She plans to attend Baptiste Level 2 training in Spring 2011. Outside of practicing yoga and teaching you can find her cooking, dancing, Paddle boarding, exploring the city, and getting outdoors!

Power Vinyasa
Jessica first tried vinyasa yoga in 2007. She remembers feeling her heart, her hips, her knees pry open after years of shutting down and shutting-off.
Due to numerous knee surgeries, this once active and hungry athlete started limiting what she could do physically. The physical limitations led her to a close off to experiencing the world openly, with courageous, and freedom.
Those first yoga practices broke the ice, then, diving into Baptiste Power yoga, the ice was melt around her heart, body, and mind.
A year after practicing yoga, Jessica received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in power vinyasa. In the two years following that she was trained by Lisa Black at Shakti Vinyasa Yoga and attended Level 1 and Level 2 Baptiste Training where she deepened her knowledge and experience of power yoga and how to live with integrity and power.
Yoga to Jessica has been nothing short of salvation. She is committed to the practice. Even the simplest of movements, like Sun Salutations bring freedom. She loves exploring the whole spectrum of yoga however, from Sun A’s to inversions and arm balances. Along with training from Lisa Black and Baron Baptiste, she has also had training from Shiva Rea, Bryan Kest, Sara Tompson-Beyer, and Ana Forrest.
She loves to challenge students. You will experience this through a powerful practice, inquisitive and intuitive promptings, intelligent cueing, and explorative movements. She creates space for each student to have their process on the mat, while opening up to new possibilities. As much as she loves practicing, she loves teaching. She invites you to come experience all that she has experienced from the life transforming practice of yoga.

Power Vinyasa Yoga
Ten years ago Carley discovered the world of yoga and fell instantly in love with the practice. At 18 years old and in search of discovering her life's purpose she began to unroll her mat each and every day to study the simplistic beauty of being in the present. A few years later as a dedicated practitioner she was asked to teach and given the opportunity to train with CorePower in exchange for offering postural assistance during their peak time classes. She quickly became known as "The Adjustor" within Corepower's San Diego studios whereby she utilized her skills as a massage therapist to deepen the practices of those she touched. Shortly thereafter Carley became a full time teacher and continues to share the gift of yoga to numerous groups of practitioners.
Providing her services in several different environments ranging from yoga studios, corporate offices, and clinical settings Carley believes that yoga is accessible to everyone and that each individual has the ability to tap into their own inner teacher at any time. Carley guides her students to listen to the deeper more subtle cues of their bodies to overcome whatever curve balls life may throw them and adds laughter, compassion, and strength to her classes in the hope to inspire individuals to reach their greatest potential both on and off the mat.
Carley has completed CorePower's 200 hour Teacher Training, Level 1 and 2 with Baron Baptiste, Shakti's Teacher Assisting Program (TAP), advanced trainings with Shiva Rea, and numerous workshops with visiting master teachers. She continues to be inspired by her Ashtanga teacher Troy Lucero, Master Baptiste Teacher Lisa Black, and her first teacher Elka Haeckel Hauck.
When she's not in the studio or at a dog park with her lovely sidekick Ayla you can find Carley climbing a mountain via foot, bike, or skis, and dancing at a local show. She's a music enthusiast and an avid adventurer that loves to play both within and outside of class.

Gail has been a professor of business law, human rights, and corporate social responsibility for over a decade. She is on the faculty at Seattle University where she also directs the University’s Center for the Study of Justice in Society. Four years ago, Gail took her first yoga class and within a year had a dedicated power vinyasa practice. Wanting to share her passion for yoga, Gail entered teacher training in 2008 and is today an Associate Baptiste Instructor. For Gail, yoga is not only a powerful physical experience, it is also a vital part of her own spiritual practice which draws inspiration from Don Miguel Ruiz, Caroline Myss, Pema Chodron, and First Nations’ traditions and worldview. One of Gail’s spiritual teachers, Angaangaq of Greenland, says that "the greatest distance in all of humanity is the distance between man’s mind and his heart. It is only when we bridge that distance that we can sore like the eagle." Gail believes yoga is that bridge, creating union between the heart and the mind so that we can come into our own power and live authentically with meaning and purpose, connected to both our humanity and our divinity, and most importantly to each other.
