Be Luminous Yoga has teamed up with Seattle Children’s to offer a comprehensive yoga and Pilates program for Seattle Children’s Employees, helping you maintain a healthy body and mind. To do this, we are offering yoga and Pilates classes on-site at various Seattle Children’s locations, as well as discounts to classes at the Be Luminous Studio in South Lake Union.
ON-SITE CLASSES
Our on-site program brings high-quality instruction to your door, making it easy for you to stay healthy with out all the fuss and extra time required to commute to classes. All classes run on a 6-week series and require a minimum of 10 6-week participants, after which drop-ins are available.

HOW TO REGISTER
1)Sign Up Here and follow the instructions below.
2) At the top of this page, select the “Seattle Children’s Series” tab.
3) Find the first series you want to join and click “Sign Up Now”. This takes you to the log-in page. If you have already signed-up with us before, you has an account. Please log in here. If this is your fist time, please follow the step-by-step process to create an account.
4) Once you are logged in, this will take you to the Enrollment Details page. “Register from this date forward will be checked.” Click “Enroll” to enroll in all of the classes for your series. (If you know you must miss a class, uncheck the box for the date you will miss. You may make up your class in any other Seattle Children's class or a class at Be Luminous Yoga during this series.)
5) This will take you to “Series and Memberships.” Select “Seattle Children’s 6-Week Series” from the drop-down box.
6) Click “Make a Purchase.”
7) Select “Check Out.”
8) Enter payment information. (This is a secure site. Your information is not shared.) “Click Place Order” once you are finished.
9) Select “Ok” from the pop up window confirming your order.
10) It may take a moment, but you will be taken to the “Purchase Complete.”
If you want to sign-for a second series, begin the process again.
Drop-Ins: Drop-In class payment will be available once minimum class enrollment has been met.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Gentle Yoga for Everyone: Relieve stress and heal your neck, back and shoulders!
With a focus on relieving back pain, and neck and shoulder tightness as well as stress-relief, this class offer’s a well-rounded yoga class accessible to a variety of body types, fitness levels and ages. The class includes a strong emphasis on working with modifications and physical challenges. Join us and see what happens for you. As you loosen up tight areas, you will likely experience a sense of vitality, increased energy levels and greater ability to work with ease.
Power Yoga: Yoga for Physical and Mental Strength, Endurance and Flexibility
This class combines fluid movement to build heat and increase your heart rate with sustained poses to build strength and flexibility. The class is meant to challenge everyone, no matter how athletic, and can be modified for a broad range of body types and ages. The emphasis on breath and movement helps to relieve stress, and the focus on proper alignment will help you stay healthy and strong. Leave feeling invigorated and ready to take on anything you need to!
½ Hour Stress-Relief Yoga: Did you know you could feel better and be more productive at work with a 30-minute session of yoga? It’s true! In this 30-minute class you will release stress and refocus your mind. We will move through basic movements that expand your range of motion and breath capacity, while relieving tension in the neck and back. The class is accessible everyone, no matter your physical needs. Come in your regular work clothes, rejuvenate and refresh so you can be both productive and at ease in the remainder of your day.
Pilates Core Conditioning: Matwork Series
Reacquaint yourself with the source of your body's flexibility and strength. Pilates targets the often neglected stabilizing muscles that support the pelvis and spine, leading to enhanced flexibility, strength and precision through the torso, arms and legs. Core work enhances the performance of athletes, reduces back pain of gardeners and combats poor posture of the workplace. Instructor is STOTT Pilates certified and owner of Core Matter Pilates Conditioning. Please bring a Pilates mat, two pound handweights optional. (Spring 2012)

Please look for a full schedule returning in the fall.
What to Bring: Please bring a yoga mat if you have them. We can provide some, but for hygiene reasons prefer that participants bring their own mat when possible.
Tuition: $54 for series, $12 per drop-in. To be fair to those who enroll for a full series, we are sorry but cannot pro-rate series enrollment.
How this Works: 10 pre-paid students are required to sign-in up for each series in order for the series to run. You will receive a confirmation email that the class will run the Friday before your start date. If the class will not run, you will have the choice of a refund or a credit toward another series. (15-Person minimum is required for Building 1, Thursday Pilates.)
Payments & Refunds: Payment is required to sign up for the class. Refunds will be made available if the class does not run due to low enrollment within one week of the class start date. Refunds are not available for any other reason, as the minimum enrollment is what allows us to run a class.
Make-Up Classes: You are welcome to make up a yoga or Pilates class at any of the other classes offered through Seattle Children's On-Site locations during the 6-week series you are currently in.
DISCOUNTS AT BE LUMINOUS YOGA
You are welcome to attend classes at Be Luminous Yoga any time with a 10% discount on any class packages. These include discounts on our Introductory Series, an 8-class series that takes you slowly though the basics of flow yoga to help you gain strength learn to modify for injury and allows you to ask questions throughout. You can also apply this 10% discount to our 5 and 10-class cards, as well as a 1-month unlimited package. This discount is not available on memberships.
