How to Find Us

We are located in the 2200 Building on Denny and Westlake in South Lake Union, Seattle. Our address is 900 Lenora #128. Our parking garage can be accessed off of 9th Ave, and you can reach us on foot by coming up the stairs from Westlake Ave, or through the Plaza "Retail Parking"  off of Terry Ave. Please give us a call at 206-682-9642 if you are having trouble finding our location.

To “Be Luminous” is to live an inspired life – one in which our true nature of clarity, happiness and peace is cultivated, so that we may experience the challenges and joys of our human lives with an open-hearted ease. We invite you to discover your own luminous nature with us. Our mission is to inspire you to live an empowered, creative, vibrant life through the practices of yoga and meditation.

Why Power Flow (Hot), Slow Flow (Cool) & Meditation?

Be Luminous Yoga inspires our community to live empowered, creative, vibrant lives through comprehensive yoga instruction – from beginner to advanced – meditation, workshops, immersive retreats, teacher trainings, philosophical study and continuing education in a non-competitive environment. The combination of Slow Flow and Power Flow allows you to dive into practice wherever you are right now, with the body you have right now. The two practices compliment to each other as well, providing your body with a balanced approach to yoga - some days its all about the hot, power practice, and others days your body needs the gentle, cooling approach.

Why Hot Yoga?

A warm room relaxes your muscles quickly, allowing you access to deeper stretching and the powerful work of strength training. Most of our classes are offered in a 85-90 degree heat with moderate to high humidity.  Our Slow Flow, Restorative and pre-natal classes are not heated.  No matter what you choose, you will leave feeling cleansed and energized.

Yoga Classes at Be Luminous Yoga

One Studio. Two Practices. More Freedom. 

At Be Luminous Yoga, we offer a host of complementary yoga styles to round out your experience, from heated Power Flow Classes to unheated Slow Flow.

Power Flow:  Enjoy a consistently structured and athletically challenging class in our 85-90 degree Power Flow Classes. LV 1 is recommended to those new to yoga. LV 1-2 and LV 2 become increasingly more challenging. 

Slow Flow: Appropraite for all levels, this class works slowly with room tempetaure heat so you can refine postures and work mindfully.

Restorative Yoga: Appropriate for all levels. This class integrates the use of props with fewer poses held for longer durations. Relaxing and grounding.   

What’s the right level class for me?

On our class schedule you’ll see a level noted next to each class.  If you are a seasoned yoga practitioner, we invite you to jump in to any class that works in your schedule. Level 1 classes are great for students who are newer to yoga, or new to flow yoga in the heat. We highly recommend our Slow Flow Classes and the Power Flow Intro Series if you are brand new.  In these classes you’ll get the instruction you need to make yoga work for your individual needs.   

Meditation

Do you sometimes feel like a crazy stress case, or that you can’t stop the millions of thoughts in your head? Meditation is a practice of training your mind to experience restful awareness on a more regular basis, giving you access to calm in the moment, and ease and joy in the long run. How can you experience meditation at Be Luminous yoga? 

Meditation in Yoga Classes:  We integrate meditation into some of our weekly classes, teaching a variety of techniques.  Length of meditation varies depending on the class length.  

Meditation Workshops and Series: Each year we teach 2-3 programs aimed at providing deeper meditation instruction.  These include Meditation Basics, Stress Less and other programs that dive into Primordial Sound Meditation and other practices.
