Backbending Workshop with Tina Templeman
Back bending is truly “strength building” for a healthy spine. And we all know that a healthy spine is a key component to an active or simply a happy life. How we approach our backbending can make all the difference between reinforcing negative patterns and developing healthy ones.
Often associated with opening up and creating confidence and courage, backbends can be frightening and even painful for some practitioners. In this workshop, we’ll learn about how to overcome limitations by freeing up the front of the body, allowing us to go deeper into our backbends and strengthen our spines. We’ll discover what limits us uniquely in our backbends, whether shoulders, hips, breath, or even fear and move beyond our limitations to create new possibilities in our practice. Suitable for all levels.
